Annie, owner and founder of Evolve Pilates, received her training from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado after completing over 1,500 hours in Classical Pilates instruction. Prior to her certification, Annie practiced Pilates for 18 years to build strength and core stability. After suffering a low back injury riding horses, she underwent surgery in 2007 and fully committed herself to Pilates as a form of physical therapy. Annie believes Pilates not only strengthens and heals the body but also calms the mind and elevates the spirit. She enjoys teaching all bodies and all ages, with a goal to build confidence and strength in life outside the studio.
Leah Fisher was dragged to her first Pilates class while in college and was immediately hooked. She was a heavy weightlifter at the time and was sure that doing exercises on a mat with no weights would be a cinch. But when she couldn't even roll up to a seated position due to weak core muscles (despite being able to bench press her own body weight) she ditched the weights and began her journey into functional movement.
Leah graduated from The Pilates Center in Boulder in 2001 and has been teaching ever since in Los Angeles, New York City, and Colorado. She trained and appeared with Kathy Smith in her line of Pilates videos and taught several performers in NYC to prep them for Broadway, Cirque du Soleil, or Shape Magazine cover shoots.
Over her years of teaching, Leah has taught bodies of all ages and abilities, from a young contortionist to a 92 year old. She has worked with pregnant women, cancer survivors, and has done gentle rehab work with people recovering from injury or surgery. Despite her previous life as a gym rat, Leah is known for her gentle teaching style that focuses on proper technique and alignment, as well as the delicious stretches she incorporates into class.

"After sitting in my office in front of a computer 40 hours a week, I was really lacking in fitness and my muscles were tight and stressed. I found that Pilates was able to open up my chest and decompress my spine making me feel like I was functioning at my full potential, it was a real awakening!"
